Tyrone D. Covin, Sr. Of Long Branch Dies At 42

Service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Lawson Funeral Service

Tyrone D. Covin, Sr. of Long Branch, passed away unexpectedly at Monmouth Medical Center on Tuesday March 20, 2018. He was 42.

Tyrone was a loving man who loved to take long walks on the beach and listen to all kinds of music. He will be missed.

He was a graduate of Long Branch High School class of 1994. He worked for Wheelock Inc. and Shore Cab Company for over 20 years. He also as a young man played the guitar in a band. Tyrone's love and passion was making music and new natural beats.

Tyrone is predeceased by his mother Jacqueline L. Covin, his sister Sheryl Roberts, his brother Jeff "Justice" Roberts and cousin Brenda Covin.

Surviving is his father Leon "Chino" Roberts, brother Shawn Covin, sons Tyrone D. Covin Jr., Trevon "Jah-Born" Covin, daughter Tygeria J. Covin, cousin Maurice Covin, Nicole Covin, Tay Covin, Godmother Mother Carolyn Stanford, mother of his children Aisha Strong and longtime friend and companion Shayla Walker as well as a host of other family and friends.

A GoFundMe Account has been established for donations.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday March 29, 2018 until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Lawson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 243 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ. Cremation will be private. A GoFundMe page has been established for donations.
