Falling on the last Monday of May each year, Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while serving in the military. It's a federal holiday that many people get off from work, resulting in a three-day weekend.

Opening Day At Ramsey Pool

When: Saturday, May 25 - 10:00 a.m.
Where: Ramsey Pool, 75 E. Oak St., Ramsey, NJ 07446
What: Kick off summer and Memorial Day Weekend by taking a dip in Ramsey Pool on opening day. Pool hours are limited until June, so take advantage of the first day!

The Ridgewood Run

When: Monday, May 27 - 7:00 a.m.
Where: Veteran’s Memorial Field, 156-158 Northern Pkwy., Ridgewood, NJ 07450
What: Join in the tradition of the 47th Ridgewood Run, held annually on Memorial Day. This is a family-focused day of fun that hosts a variety of different races to participate in, including the Kessler Foundation Wheelchair 5K.

Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast

When: Monday, May 27 - 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Where: Ramapo Reformed Church, 100 Island Rd., Mahwah, NJ 07430
What: Enjoy a pancake breakfast in honor of Memorial Day, hosted by Mahwah Troop 50. Veterans and emergency responders eat for free.

Memorial Day Parade

When: Monday, May 27 - 10 a.m.
Where: Veterans Park, E. Main Street, Ramsey, NJ 07446
What: Honor Memorial Day and our veterans with a parade at Veterans Park. Community leaders, sports teams and all residents are encouraged to attend.
