MANASQUAN – Manasquan police are warning about a scam in which somebody is asking for money for the department.

The Manasquan Police Department or Manasquan PBA #284 are telling residents that they would never call requesting a donation for any kind of fundraiser or event.

If you come across this scam ,please hang up the phone and block the phone number immediately, police said.

Never give any bank information or credit card information over the telephone, police said.
