They conducted rescue breaths until paramedics arrived on the scene and transported the teenager to Jersey Shore Medical Center. Staff at the hospital said the teen had gone back into respiratory failure upon arrival, police said.

"If it were not for the quick actions of the first responders, the incident might have been different. The teen was kept overnight and released from the hospital the next day!!! Congratulations to Ptl Norcia, Ptl Gavan, and Athletic Trainer Hyland for a job well done!!!" police said.
