Photos Capture Reported Rescue At Manasquan Inlet

A group of heroes from Philadelphia rescued a spear gun diver off the massive jetty that defines the Manasquan River Inlet, according to eyestinesses.

The diver, overcome by exhaustion, struggled to hang on to the rocks when the swift, incoming tide overwhelmed him, according to Mark Doyle.

The rescuer was a former U.S. Marine who declined to be identified because, he said, "I don't want to be hero."
