High-Wind, Flood Watch In Effect For Manville

MANVILLE, NJ — A flood watch and a high wind watch have been issued for Manville by the National Weather Service in anticipation of the "major" nor'easter impacting New Jersey.

Rain is expected to begin around 6 p.m. on Thursday and continue through Friday night. The heaviest rain is expected across the northern half of New Jersey and east-central Pennsylvania, which includes the Raritan and Passaic basins and portions of the Delaware Basin, the NWS reported.

Flooding is expected in low-lying and poor drainage areas. The flood watch is in effect until Saturday at 7 a.m.

Additionally potentially damaging winds are expected Friday and Friday night with winds blowing northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines causing outages. Some areas may even see snow northwest of Philadelphia.
