ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Four zip codes in New Jersey ranked among the top 100 wealthiest in the nation in terms of median property sales this year, according to the real estate website PropertyShark.com.

The site unveiled its new rankings in November.

The Short Hills section of Millburn was the only Essex County area to make the list.

It came in at fourth in New Jersey and 95 among the 100 wealthiest zip codes nationwide.

Number one in New Jersey was Deal, which pushed ahead of perennial wealthiest town Alpine. Those were 58 and 66 in the country, respectively.

The median home sale price in Deal was $2.3 million, Property Shark noted.

"New Jersey’s fourth contribution was 07078 in Short Hills at $1,825,000," PropertyShark said. "This one had previously appeared for three consecutive years between 2016 and 2019 but was later locked out of rankings by zips with faster paces of price increases."

The top five in the country were Atherton, Calif., Sagaponack, NY, Ross, Calif., Miami Beach, Fla., and of course, Beverly Hills, 90210.
