Where To Celebrate New Year's Eve 2022 In Matawan

MATAWAN, NJ — From a party at Bell Works in Holmdel, to fireworks over New Brunswick and a children's glowstick ice skating party at Pier Village, we've got a great round-up of things to do!

Here is a look at some events happening in the area as we ring in 2023:

• Long Branch: Free outdoor fireworks spectacular at Pier Village 9-9:30 p.m. Dec. 31
• Holmdel: New Year's Eve at Bar Bella at Bell Works in Holmdel; Dec. 31 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Jan. 1 of the New Year. Check Eventbrite for details.
• Red Bank: Red Bank Elks is hosting a New Years Eve Bash that is open to the public with a four-hour open bar. Must be age 21 and above. Cocktail attire, food, DJ, photo booth, champagne toast and a ball drop on the Navesink. Tickets can only be purchased online @www.redbankelks.org. $125 up to the day of the event. Email [email protected] with questions. Part of the proceeds will go to Elks National Foundation, which gives us grants to give back to our community.
• Red Bank: Count Basie Center for the Arts; Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes go on stage at 6 p.m. sharp. By popular demand, this is an early performance that will end around 8 p.m. VIP Package: “The Party Before The Party” – $150 includes premium ticket, early entry, private performance and complimentary cocktail with Asbury Jukes’ keyboardist Jeff Kazee, and limited exclusive merchandise item. Limited to 100 tickets. Doors open 4 p.m.; event start time is 4:30 p.m.
• Freehold Township: iPlayAmerica, 110 Schanck Road, Freehold 07728, will have a New Year’s Eve event from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a night of rides, party favors, confetti cannons, DJ, giveaways, and more for the whole family. New Year’s Eve Party Pass is $42.99 or $52.99 at the door. Purchase online.
• Howell: Our House Restaurant, New Year's Eve Party with Local Honey, Dec. 31, $99 per person. Call to make your reservation: 732-938-5159; includes a five-hour premium open bar, buffet dinner and dessert, champagne toast to ring in the New Year, dancing, party favors and live music from Local Honey.
• Middletown: Monmouth Museum, Kids' New Year's Eve celebration; Saturday, Dec. 31, 10:30 a.m.; make a party hat and noisemaker; march in a New Year’s Eve Parade; countdown to “midnight” at noon. • Long Branch: New Year's Eve Party For Kids Saturday At Long Branch Ice Rink: Celebrate NYE early with the kids: The Pier Village ice rink in Long Branch will have a noon skate party with a countdown, and then again at 7 p.m. with glow sticks. • Midnight fireworks in New Brunswick: New Brunswick's fireworks have returned! The Restaurant Guys present their renowned "Fireworks Spectacular" at midnight at Monument Square Park, across from Catherine Lombardi and Stage Left Steak. See all those who made it possible at NewBrunswickNYE.com.
• Beginning at 11:30 p.m., the DJ will have the music blasting at Monument Square to warm up the crowd and keep the excitement going.
• Then we'll count down to begin the new year with a spectacular fireworks display shot off the roof of The Heldrich Hotel.
