Obituary: Frank J. Kuhl, 63: Middletown North and Keansburg H.S. Coach, PNC Bank Arts Center Supervisor

Frank J. Kuhl, 63, of Leonardo, died on November 24, 2014 at his home.

He was born in Red Bank and lived in Leonardo for most of his life. Frank worked as a Phys. Ed. Teacher at Keansburg High School for 32 years, retiring in 2008. Frank was also a football and wrestling coach at Keansburg High School and Middletown High School North. Between school years, he was a supervisor at PNC Bank Arts Center for 26 years, where he brought many of his students to get summer jobs.

Surviving are his wife, Joann Kuhl; his son & daughter-in-law, Frank and Denise Kuhl; his son, Michael Kuhl; his grandson, Maverick Kuhl; his step-grandchildren, Olivia and Michael Cullari; and his mother-in-law, Catherine Pitkethley.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Kuhl, and his father-in-law, Alfred Pitkethley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, located at 115 Tindall Road in Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes’ RC Church, at 103 Center Avenue in Atlantic Highlands. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery in Holmdel.
