Watchung Booksellers welcomes author and performer Frank Decaro to launch his latest book, Disco: The Music, Movies, and Mania Under the Mirror Ball on Tuesday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m.
Half a century after the drug-fueled, DJ-driven, glamour-drenched musical phenomenon of disco was born at a New York City loft party, disco’s musical and fashion influences live on in popular culture. Disco is a dazzling volume that shines new light on the songs, styles, and impact of the 1970s musical genre that emerged from Black and Latin queer culture to take the world by storm.
Hailing from Little Falls, NJ, Frank Decaro is best known for his 12 years as the host of the daily national satellite radio program The Frank DeCaro Show, and his much lauded, six-year stint as the flamboyant movie critic on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
