Mutual Morris is Morris County's only mutual aid group, bringing community together to help each other, share with each other, and build relationships with each other. We present an ongoing series of free skillshares, which are opportunities for our members to share their skills, knowledge and interests. These sessions are mostly taught by non-professionals and they are free to all (though donations are always welcome and go toward the community).

Here you are invited to join us on Monday July 15th from 5pm to 7pm at the library in Dover to learn about needle felting and try your hand at making art out of wool.

Essentially, needle felting involves rolling up pieces of wool into shapes and using a needle to hold the shapes together. We will learn the basic techniques and then try making a simple shape from an example, or you can use your creativity to come up with your own design if you'd like. If you enjoy it, we would like to form an ongoing group to practice together afterward.

Please RSVP by emailing [email protected] as supplies are limited. All materials are included.

Children are welcome and we will have finger protection, but we will be using very sharp needles so please consider your child's readiness for this activity.

Thank you to Theresa for sharing her hobby with us. Do you have something you enjoy that you can share with the community? Let us know at the above email address.
