MORRISTOWN, NJ — A cement mixer truck going north crashed into a guard rail near exit 34 of I-287 Wednesday morning, closing two lanes.

The accident has closed two of the three lanes of the thoroughfare and backups are exceeding 40 minutes, according to officials.

Officials say troopers responded to the crash at approximately 2:07 a.m. at the I-287 north milepost 41.8 in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township.

A collision occurred between a cement truck and a passenger vehicle, which caused the truck to overturn, police say.

There were no injuries. The crash is currently under investigation.
