Morris School District Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know
Back-to-school season is almost here for Morristown students. Here are some important dates to circle on the calendar.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Summer is almost over for Morristown students. The first day of school in the Morris School District is Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Students in grades k-2 attend one of the following schools: Woodland Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, Alfred Vail Elementary, or Normandy Park Elementary (k-5).
Students in grades 3-5 attend one of the following schools: Thomas Jefferson Elementary, Sussex Avenue Elementary, Normandy Park Elementary (k-5), or Alexander Hamilton Elementary.

Students in grades 6-8 attend Frelinghuysen Middle School and after their graduation, they attend Morristown High School.
Please note that fall and spring parent-teacher conferences for elementary and middle school are to be determined. Conferences for students in high school occur upon request.

- Start date: Tuesday, Sept. 3
- NJEA Convention, no school: Nov. 7,8
- Election Day, no school: Tuesday, Nov. 5
- Thanksgiving break: Nov. 28, 29
- Winter break: Dec. 23- Jan. 1
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Monday, Jan. 20
- Presidents Day: Monday, no school: Feb. 17
- Spring break: Apr. 14 - 18
- Professional development day, no school: Tuesday, June 3
- Last day for seniors: Wednesday, June 18
- Middle school graduation: Tuesday, June 17
- Morristown High School commencement: Wednesday, June 18
