Falling on the last Monday of May each year, Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while serving in the military. It's a federal holiday that many people get off from work, resulting in a three-day weekend.

Morris County's 2024 Memorial Day Observance

When: Wednesday, May 22 - 12:00 p.m.
Where: 10 Court St., Morristown, NJ 07960
What: The Morris County Board of County Commissioners is honoring local veterans at the 2024 Memorial Day Observance on Court Street. This public ceremony features the presentation of Morris County Distinguished Military Service Medals to veterans in recognition of their bravery and service. Though not technically a weekend event, this day of observance is a great way to honor the spirit of Memorial Day just a few days early.

Memorial Day Weekend Fest At Rock Bottom Grill

When: Saturday, May 25 - 3:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.

Memorial Day Skate Event

When: Monday, May 27 - 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
Where: Branch Brook Park, 17th Avenue Newark, NJ 07104
