NEWARK, NJ — The search continues for a missing teenage girl in Essex County, authorities say.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Juhlia Payne, 15, of Newark, was reported missing on May 3. She has run away from home in the past, police said.

Payne remains missing as of Monday afternoon, authorities told Patch.

Payne was reported missing from the 200-block of South 8th Street in Newark. She is 4 feet 8 inches and 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a school uniform that consists of a blue sweater, white shirt and gray pants.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
