Eric LeGrand Bourbon Will Be Served At Rutgers Sports Games

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — On Tuesday, Rutgers University announced they just signed a multi-year partnership with Eric LeGrand to carry his Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey at all Rutgers Athletics sporting events.

This is a first-of-its-kind partnership, and it makes Eric LeGrand Bourbon the first spirits brand to become a proud partner of Rutgers Athletics.

Starting this upcoming fall season, Eric LeGrand Bourbon will be available at select hospitality areas at SHI Stadium and Jersey Mike's Arena. Game attendees will be able to enjoy the spirit on the rocks or in specialty cocktails.

LeGrand is a Woodbridge native; he still lives in the Avenel section. He played football for Rutgers University until the fateful day he was tackled during a 2010 Rutgers-Navy game. LeGrand suffered a devastating spinal cord injury and that one tackle left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Today, LeGrand is a mentor, professional speaker and also businessman; he just opened a coffeeshop by the Woodbridge train station last year. LeGrand is also a motivational speaker and sports analyst for ESPN, Sirius, the Big Ten Network and Rutgers radio.

He also launched his own bourbon and beer line in March of 2023.

LeGrand worked with spirits entrepreneur Brian Axelrod to launch the bourbon line. The two men have also promised to donate $5.20 of every case sold of Eric LeGrand Bourbon to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation for spinal cord injury treatment and rehabilitation.
