Teens, Apply Now For Fall Middlesex County Youth Conservation Corps

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Are you looking for a way for your teen to give back and get involved in their community? And also be paid at the same time?

On Saturdays this fall, teens can work for the Middlesex County Youth Conservation Corps. Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2023.

Work will take place at several Middlesex County Open Space parcels in Old Bridge, East Brunswick, South Brunswick and Monroe Townships, as well as other County open space as needed.

Teen workers will earn $14.50 per hour. The hours will be Saturdays, from September 16 to November 18, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by the start date, and must be in good physical shape to walk, stand, lift heavy objects and use a variety of hand tools. The Youth Conservation Corps is a seasonal job for high school or college-aged students who maintain the County’s 30+ miles of hiking trails, work on habitat restoration projects and litter patrol.

The Middlesex County Youth Conservation Corps is run by the Middlesex County Office of Parks and Recreation. The mission of the Corps is to protect and preserve the open space owned and maintained by the Middlesex County Open Space and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund.
