Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JUAN C. RODRIGUEZ (DOB: 11/25/1980; divorced; mechanic) of 100 Second Street, Apartment LL5, Hackensack, NJ on child pornography charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On Thursday, February 17, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of JUAN C. RODRIGUEZ during the course of a months-long Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that RODRIGUEZ used the Internet to view, download, and possess approximately 5,515 digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children. In addition, the investigation revealed that RODRIGUEZ also shared such files on the Internet.

As a result of the investigation, JUAN C. RODRIGUEZ was arrested on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b.(5)(b)(ii), and second-degree distribution of child pornography, N.J.S.A 2C:24-4b.5(a)(i). RODRIGUEZ was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Hackensack Police Department for their assistance, as well as the Lyndhurst Police Department, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, Englewood Police Department, and Rochelle Park Police Department which all participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
