Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of JAYCOMM GRAVE RAMOS (DOB: 5/20/1993; single; laborer) of 3077 Potter Street, Philadelphia, PA and ESHANIEL MOYANO (DOB: 6/04/2001; single; unemployed) of 4222 Claridge Street, Philadelphia, PA on drug, aggravated assault and resisting arrest offenses. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On October 5, 2021, during a narcotics investigation, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force conducted a search of a black 2012 Honda Pilot in Ridgefield, NJ. The search revealed an electronically operated hidden compartment containing nine kilograms of suspected cocaine. One additional kilogram of suspected cocaine was located in a backpack on the back seat, for a total of ten kilograms. The driver, JAYCOMM GRAVE RAMOS, and front seat passenger, ESHANIEL MOYANO, were both placed under arrest. During his arrest, JAYCOMM GRAVE RAMOS attempted to flee the scene on foot and resisted arrest by attempting to disarm one detective, while biting the hand of another.

JAYCOMM GRAVE RAMOS was charged with one count of first-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, N.J.S.A 2C:35-5b(1); one count of second-degree attempting to exercise unlawful control over a firearm in the possession of a law enforcement officer, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-11 (1)(a); one count of third-degree aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(b)(5)(a); and one count of third-degree resisting arrest, N.J.S.A. 2C:29-2a(3).

ESHANIEL MOYANO was charged with one count of first-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, N.J.S.A 2C:35-5b(1).

GRAVE RAMOS and MOYANO were remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending their first appearances in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
