Bergen Community College, Bergen County Technical Schools Donate Scarves on 'Giving Tuesday'

As part of the "Giving Tuesday" initiative, volunteer knitters donated 50 scarves, blankets and hats to the homeless.

Press release:

As part of the nationwide “Giving Tuesday” initiative Dec. 2, volunteer knitters organized by the Bergen Community College Division of Continuing Education and the Bergen County Technical Schools gave the homeless the gift of warmth – approximately 50 scarves, blankets and hats.

The winter essentials crocheted by 30 students and community members at an October “knit-in” sponsored by Bergen Makerspace – a collaborative effort of the College and the BCTS – will benefit the homeless living at the Bergen County Housing, Health and Human Services Center.
