Charlotte Samuels, a 16-year-old high school student from Ridgewood, has completed the second part of her quest to become the youngest person to finish the ”Triple Crown” of swimming.

Samuels has officially completed the 20.2-mile swim between Catalina Island and the Southern California coastline, after nearly 20 grueling hours swimming overnight in the cool Pacific, according to NorthJersey.com.

Samuels was also stung multiple times by jellyfish throughout the swim, but was able to see herself through to the finish line at Rancho Palos Verdes beach.

She has already completed swimming around the length of Manhattan this past June, and has only the 21-mile English Channel standing in her way of becoming the ”Triple Crown” winner.
