Dumont church seeks children's artwork to boost spirits

Calvary United Methodist Church launches initiative to spread cheer to local residents

Calvary United Methodist Church in Dumont invites children to color pictures, on letter-sized paper (8 1/2" by 11"), to be sent to individuals who are feeling lonely and sad, particularly after the holidays. The artwork can be a simple drawing like the sample pictured above, or a supportive message.

Friends and members of Calvary United Methodist Church will distribute the artwork through the nonprofit charity The Food Brigade, to individuals through Dumont Social Services, and to residents with developmental and intellectual disabilities through group homes in our area.

Artwork can be mailed or dropped off to Calvary UMC, 185 West Madison Avenue, Dumont, NJ 07628. If dropping off, please put your artwork in a gallon-sized plastic bag and place it into the tub marked "KIDS ART" next to the brown office door off the church parking lot (off of Cooper Street).
