Dumont Executive Order issued in response to Coronavirus crisis

Late Monday, in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus public health crisis, Dumont Mayor Andrew LaBruno, Office of Emergency Management Coordinator Michael Conner, and Borough Administrator Christopher Tully issued Borough Executive Order #1.

The Order encompasses a broad range of activities within the Borough, both business and social, including the following restrictions:

  • All bars, taverns, clubs, or other locations with plenary retail consumption licenses are closed until further notice;
  • All restaurants must limit their service to take out or delivery orders only between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.;
  • All private recreational sports programs which involve close physical contact (including dance, gymnastics, martial arts, basketball, and soccer) are closed until further notice;
  • All Borough parks, playgrounds, and recreational fields and facilities and closed until a future determination that an emergency no longer exists;
  • Food markets are strongly urged to restrict entry to only one family member and to limit the total number of customers; and
  • All religious houses of worship are strongly encouraged to temporarily suspend all services or other communal activities.
