BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Mamoun's Falafel, a longtime New York City restaurant chain, is coming to Bergen County.

The eatery signed an agreement to lease 1,600 square feet at Hudson Lights, the bustling and growing retail outlet in Fort Lee. The 45-year-old Mamoun's makes its signatures recipes from scratch.

Founded in 1971 in Greenwich Village, Mamoun’s is the oldest falafel restaurant in New York. Fort Lee will be the seventh location for the eatery.

The 1-million-square-foot Hudson Lights is anchored by the iPic luxury movie theater, several restaurants and 276 luxury apartments.

“Mamoun’s only has restaurants in select locales that are known for their walkability and sought-after for the dynamic and convenient lifestyle that they provide to residents,” said Richard Tucker, CEO of Tucker Development, which developed Hudson Lights. “The decision to open a restaurant at Hudson Lights speaks volumes about Fort Lee’s emergence as an eclectic and urban-inspired locale that is taking its place among the region’s most sought-after live-shop-play destinations.”
