Prices Going Up At Starbucks

The price for your favorite cup of joe may be a bit higher come Tuesday.

Starbucks announced it is raising prices starting Tuesday, according to reports. Some coffee items will increase from 5 to 20 cents, ABC News reported. For example, brewed coffee will increase by 10 cents a cup, the Associated Press reported.

Starbucks spokesperson Lisa Passe told CNN Money that this is the first increase in two years “for the majority of impacted beverages, such as Tall brewed coffee and Grande Latte.” On average, a Starbucks customer’s receipt will be about 1 percent more expensive, she added

A Starbucks spokeswoman told the Associated Press that food prices will remain the same.
