NEW MILFORD, NJ — Thomas J. Rochford, 78, of New Milford died Saturday.
Rochford was a mechanical foreman for the Metro North Railroad and a proud member of the fire brigade at Grand Central Station, his obituary states.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; children Donna Morrison, Barbara Sklar, Richard, and Thomas; stepchildren Christian and Daniel Szegda and Jesse and Jaime Harkin; grandchildren Michael, Megan, Isabella, Carrington, and Andrew; and siblings Donald, Anne, Raymond, Sheila, and Stephen.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. It will continue at St. Anne's R.C. Church in Fair Lawn with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, New Jersey Chapter, 425 Eagle Rock Ave., Roseland, NJ 07068.
