WARN notices are required, by law, to be filed by companies planning mass layoff or facility closings.

About 300 Mountainside employees could be facing layoffs after their employer, Zucker, Goldberg & Ackerman LLC, issued a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act) notice effective Aug. 24.

The bankruptcy law firm announced they will be closing their doors due to “current and anticipated profitability insufficient to sustain current operations,” according to njbiz.

The WARN notice filed with the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development stated at least 289 jobs could be on the line, but did not specify which jobs.
