Paramus Named a 'Booming Suburb'

Real estate firm Coldwell Banker says the borough places tenth on list of booming suburbs in New Jersey.

A Coldwell Banker Real Estate survey finds Paramus to be one of the state's biggest "booming suburbs".

The criteria, according to the real estate company, is based on "year-over-year levels of employment and unemployment percentages" below the national average, good schools, commuting by car, community safety, and business amenities.

Paramus ranked 10th on Coldwell's list of the top 25 most booming suburbs. With a score of 790.6, Paramus came in just behind neighbors Fair Lawn and Ridgewood. Ridgewood was the highest ranked Bergen suburb on the list.

The top 10 suburbs makes up Coldwell Banker's "Best Places to Live" series.
