Wanted Man Caught At Morris County Hospital: Police

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Pennsylvania man with an outstanding warrant for his arrest was caught by the Denville Police Department at Saint Clare's Hospital, officials said.

Austin Heinly, 41, of New Tripoli, was arrested and taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending an extradition to Pennsylvania on Dec. 1.

According to Capt. Jeffrey Tucker, the Denville Police Department was dispatched to Saint Clare's Hospital on a report of a person wishing to speak with an officer about the services they received.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the officer met with the complainant and her companion, who was identified as Heinly, police said.

Further police investigation revealed that Heinly was wanted by the Northampton County Sheriff's Office in Pennsylvania on an active National Crime Information Center warrant.

The Northampton County Sheriff's Department could not be immediately reached for comment on the matter.

Police did not disclose any further information as to why Heinly had an active warrant for his arrest.
