Water Leaks Reported Around Parsippany, Crews Working To Repair

Crews will be out Tuesday in parts of Lake Parsippany, including along Route 202, to restore water service to customers.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The township Water Department has been working to restore water service and fix leaks for residents in the Lake Parsippany and Lake Hiawatha areas since late last week, officials said.

According to a social media post from the township, there were reported leaks Monday on Lake Shore Drive, and on Route 202 near Rita Drive.

On Tuesday morning, crews were out repairing a leak at the intersection of Lake Shore and Bridgeton Drives, affecting about 30 nearby homes.

Officials said the affected area of Route 202 is scheduled to be repaired Tuesday night beginning at 7 p.m., and the Water Department will be working with township police and the Public Works Department to restore service.

Water service has been restored on River Drive in Lake Hiawatha, where another problem was reported.

These notifications followed a reported water main break last Wednesday on Bridgeton Drive, not far from the intersection with Lake Shore Drive.
