Police Training Session Underway Near Point Pleasant School

The police department announced the training session to alleviate concerns about the activity.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Point Pleasant Borough Police Department is conducting a training activity in the area of Memorial Middle School, the department announced Thursday afternoon.

The training session was anticipated to continue for about an hour, according to the alert from the police department sent about 1:40 p.m.

"There is no emergency to report," police said.
