PRINCETON, NJ — Adding insult to injury, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to saturate the area on Friday as towns continue to recover from Tropical Storm Isaias.

A flash flood watch has been issued for Princeton and Mercer County Friday through Saturday morning as multiple additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms producing locally heavy rain are possible through Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The ground already remains saturated due to the recent heavy rains from Tropical Storm Isaias, which will make flash flooding more likely to occur.
