Nor'easter Impacts In Princeton: 6 Inches Snow, Hazardous Roads

Cleanup is underway in Princeton, as the nor'easter leaves behind a wintery mess.

PRINCETON, NJ – A “major" nor'easter rolled into Mercer County area on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing 6.4 inches of snow to Princeton.

The road conditions in Princeton remain hazardous. The department of Public Works has been clearing out the roads. Princeton police has asked residents to remain indoors while cleanup work continues.

Princeton did not report any power outages on Wednesday and Thursday.

Meanwhile, Princeton Public Schools decided to cancel all-remote learning on Thursday, opting for ‘snow day’. Classes resume on Friday.

In neighboring Lawrence Township, the public school district cancelled virtual learning on Thursday for 'snow day', as did the East Windsor Regional School District.

The "major" nor'easter hit the Garden State on Wednesday and shut down trains and buses, and caused crashes and other problems. More than 12,000 power outages were reported across the state, and more than 200 crashes were reported.

Some parts of New Jersey received more than 11 inches of snow.
