NYSC Of Princeton Offers Relief During Heat

PRINCETON, NJ — It's going to be another hot one on Tuesday with temperatures rising to 94 degrees. To help beat the heat, the New York Sports Club of Princeton is offering some relief.

Through Aug. 31, whenever temperatures rise above 90 degrees the public is free to come to the air conditioned gym located in the Princeton Shopping Center at 301 North Harrison St., Princeton.

A code orange air quality alert has been issued Tuesday for Mercer and Burlington counties by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

The alert means that air pollution concentrations within the area may become unhealthy for sensitive groups such as children, the elderly or people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 94. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind 5 to 7 mph.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. West wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. North wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
