PRINCETON, NJ — A Mercer County family, their real estate agent, and homes from the area will feature in HGTV’s House Hunters this week, thanks to a young, local realtor.

Real estate agent John Terebey will be seen helping Betsey Davis and her son Myles Davis navigate the housing market in Mercer County in an episode that will be aired on Sept. 28. Homes from Princeton, Robbinsville, and Lawrenceville will feature on the show.

“I applied to be on the show along with my clients. It was a fun, stressful, and new experience,” Terebey told Patch.

Terebey met Davis during an open house in West Windsor. Davis, having lived in Boulder, Colorado wanted to move back to the East Coast to be closer to her family. "She is a single mom of a 16-year-old. One of her sons was recently murdered and she has no one in Colorado. I was able to leverage my connections in the area and help this family find a home they loved,” Terebey said.

During the filming, Terebey received a lot of support from his team to help him juggle being on TV and doing his job.

“Having grown up in West Windsor, and having worked in the area ever since, I've struggled with gaining the trust of the older, more affluent clientele. The area is rife with wealthy professionals, as such, I've always had to sell upwards," Terebey said.

“Rather than shying away from my age and youth, I leaned into it. I embraced the skill sets that our generation had — from online marketing to out-of-the-box creative thinking.”

Titled "Going Back Home To Jersey," the show will be aired on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 10 p.m.

To celebrate the airing of the show, Terebey will be hosting a screening at the West Windsor Volunteer Firehouse from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Sept. 29. Food and drinks will be served, followed by a Q & A session.

Tune in to see which homes from the area featured in the show, and which home the family finally chose.
