PRINCETON, NJ — Due to high temperatures and humidity, Princeton is opening its cooling center at 400 Witherspoon St. Community Room for those seeking relief from the heat.

Temperatures are expected to hit 93 degrees. Taking into account the humidity, the heat index will hit 100 to 105 degrees, according to the National Weather Sevice.

A heat advisory is in effect for the Princeton area through 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The cooling center will be open Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
