PRINCETON, NJ — Quaker Road is closed between Port Mercer and Mercer Road due to flooding, Princeton police said Monday afternoon. Rain has fallen across the state on Monday, and a tornado watch remains in effect until 6 p.m. Monday evening.

As of 4:45 p.m. Monday, there were 299 PSE&G customers in Mercer County without power, and fewer than five JCP&L customers in the county didn't have power, according to the electric companies.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch Monday for most of New Jersey. The threat goes until 6 p.m. and includes the following counties: Atlantic; Burlington; Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren.
