Terroristic Threats, Theft: Princeton Police Blotter

A resident reported that an item worth $22,000 was stolen from their car while it was parked.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Police blotter, dated July 2 and 9, had the following reports:

On June 25, following a motor vehicle crash investigation, the driver of one of the vehicles involved was found to have operated his vehicle while intoxicated. The 56-year-old Newark man was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and processed accordingly. He was issued several motor vehicle summonses and later released.

On June 25, a victim told police that an unknown suspect(s) used his identity to withdraw funds from his bank account. The suspect(s) forged one withdrawal slip and cashed two altered checks which totaled a monetary loss of $8,000.

On June 26, around 9:22 p.m., Patrols responded to a business on Nassau Street on a report of a man who threatened the victim with a knife. The man then damaged a window pane in the front of the store. Subsequent investigation revealed that a homeless person was involved. He was arrested, taken to police headquarters, and processed accordingly. After processing he was transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center.

On June 27, around 11:46 a.m., police responded to Palmer Square West on a report of a past tense shoplifting. The caller reported that three unknown suspects shoplifted several items from a retail store which resulted in a monetary loss of approximately $5,815. The incident was captured on video surveillance and depicted three suspects shoplifting the items. The suspects are described as a 5’9” 35-year-old black male, a 5’5” 35-year-old black female, and a 5’6” 25-year-old black female.

On June 28, around 6:56 a 37-year-old Princeton woman was arrested after she was found to have a warrant in her name out of the Trenton Municipal Court. She was taken to police headquarters and processed accordingly. After processing, she was transported to the Trenton Police Department where she was turned over to the custody their officers.

On July 5, two unknown people shoplifted $386.91 worth of merchandise from a retail establishment on N. Harrison Street. The same suspects were allegedly involved in two previous shoplifting incidents in May 2024 and June 2024. The suspects are described as: black female, mid 30’s, medium build, black shoulder length hair with tattoos on her left hand, left wrist and right thigh; and black male, late 30’s, average build.

On July 6, following an investigation of a burglary to a vehicle on Princeton-Kingston Road, South Brunswick Police Department found the suspect, a 19-year-old Irvington resident and turned him over to Princeton Police. He was placed under arrest, charged accordingly and transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center.

On July 8, a victim reported that an unknown individual(s) stole an item from his vehicle while it was parked at a location on State Road. The stolen item, an Atlas air compressor, was valued at $22,000. There are no suspects at this time.
