A family of three – two adults and a child were stuck in their car after their vehicle was disabled due to rapidly rising floodwaters.

Trained swift water rescue members from PFD and PFARS made their way by foot to the car and located the family members. LFC’s high water vehicle arrived and members assisted the family, Princeton residents, into the LFC truck.

The family was taken out of the flooded area and evaluated by PFARS. They were provided a ride home, Yeh said.

“Many roads were closed due to flooding. We want to remind drivers not to drive through flooded roadways. It endangers their lives, their families lives and puts rescuers at risk,” Yeh said.
