This Bergen County Town Has Seen The Biggest Increase In Wealth In NJ

Two Bergen County towns are on a top-10 list of NJ towns whose wealth has increased the most over 10 years.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey, with its prominent location between New York and Philadelphia, is among the richest states in the country, with nearly 15 percent of households earning more than $200,000 annually.

But among its most wealthy towns, some have gotten much wealthier over the past decade.

A recent list of towns whose wealth has grown the most included two Bergen County towns in its top 10.

The towns? Saddle River and Westwood.

Saddle River, once home to retired President Richard Nixon, may not be a surprise. It placed first on the list.

According to the data, its 2012 median household income was $100,685. By 2022, the median was $228,750, representing 127 percent growth.

Here are ten New Jersey towns that have seen the biggest increase in wealth in recent years.

Westwood, coming in at number 8, went from a $83,726 median to $160,466.
