Bergen Saint Patrick's Day Parade And Party: What To Know

It's almost time for the 40th annual Bergen County St. Patrick's Day Parade in Bergenfield, which kicks off at 2 p.m. Sunday.

BERGENFIELD, NJ — It's almost time for the 40th annual Bergen County St. Patrick's Day Parade in Bergenfield, which kicks off at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Kieran Lynch, past president of the Bergen Irish Association, will be the Grand Marshal. Lynch is also a member of the BIA's Board of Trustees, and his father Edward is a founding member of the organization.

Maureen Donegan and Sharon Collins are the Aides to the Grand Marshal for 2022.

The parade will be Sunday, March 13 at 2 p.m. Parade logistics are below, courtesy of the Council of Irish Associations of Greater Bergen County, Inc.

  • The parade begins at 2 p.m. at the intersection of West Englewood Street and South Washington Avenue. All bands and groups are asked to be lined up by 1:30 p.m.
  • The parade route is north on Washington Avenue, past St. John's Church. All groups will turn right on Bradley Avenue and disperse.
  • The parade is expected to end between 3:30 and 3:45.

Before the parade, Lynch will deliver his Grand Marshal's address at 1 p.m. at Roy W. Brown Middle School in Bergenfield. The Irish flag will also be raised at the school.

There is also a Feast of St. Patrick mass at St. Mary's in Dumont at 10 a.m.

The Bergen Irish Association will also host a post-parade party on Sunday, with dinner and dancing at the Bergen Irish Cultural Center. Music will be provided by Celtic Mikes. Doors open at 4 p.m., and tickets are $40 per person. Click here for more information, or view the Facebook post below.

Last weekend was the Grand Marshal Installation Dance, at The Graycliff, which is a major fundraiser and event for the parade.
