RIDGEWOOD, NJ — From story time to free Zumba dance classes to live rock music, this weekend's "Destination Ridgewood Pedestrian Plaza" will have something for everyone.

Streets close for the plaza each Saturday through early October for the events. Sunday will have limited events as well, but without street closures.

Here are the events for Saturday, July 22, beginning at 8 a.m.:

Morning Tai Chi, Spider Story Time with Lynn Needle, Zumba Dance Class, and Declan Power Band's live music in the park. The events start early and conclude in evening.

Here are the events for Sunday, July 23, beginning at 8 a.m.:

Morning yoga and meditation. At night, Chosen Circle, live jazz, pop, and R&B music in the park.

Street Closings

On Saturdays, East Ridgewood Avenue will be closed to vehicles from Walnut Street to Broad Street, including the side streets of Oak, Prospect, Chestnut, and Van Neste Square, with the Chestnut Street lot being open for parking.

On Sundays, all streets will be open to vehicles.

Music and activities will take place both days in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square.

Organizers said, "Come and participate in the activities offered, shop in our historic downtown, enjoy food from one of our many eateries and enjoy all that Ridgewood has to offer."
