Porch Thief Wearing Delivery Vest Hits Rumson Home

Packages valued at $2,000 taken in porch theft, according to monthly Rumson police report.

RUMSON, NJ — A Blossom Road resident reported that a man wearing what appeared to be an Amazon delivery vest stole two packages from the outside of the house, police said.

The packages were valued at $2,000, police added. Ptl. Strohmenger took the report of the March 2 incident.

In another matter, patrols responded to a business on First Street for a report of a missing tote bag.

The item, valued at $450, had been left on a table in the establishment and was removed by an unknown subject. Ptl. Lovgren took the report of the March 8 incident.
