Fanwood To Observe Veteran's Day On Friday

Commemorating the shared tradition of sacrifice and service to the military, Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr invites veterans, their families and the public to honor our fallen this Veteran’s Day, Friday, November 11th, at a solemn ceremony at 12 Noon in front of the Fanwood Memorial Library.

Immediately following, there will be an additional ceremony in the municipal parking lot behind Kessler’s Rehabilitation to dedicate the first of several “Veteran’s Parking” spots that are being created throughout the community.

This is part of the Borough’s local effort to Value our Vets, which will also feature the following events throughout the community in the coming week:

  • Warrior Week Wellness Symposium: 11/11, 7 PM All Saints Episcopal at 559 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains)
  • Heroes Reading Program: 11/12 at Fanwood Museum/Train Station. 9 AM
  • Pilots & Pancakes, 11/13 at American Legion Post 209, 8 AM
