Sankofa: Looking Back on Our Past to Move Forward with a Brighter Future
Social Justice Matters kicks off Juneteenth festivities on Wednesday, June 19th, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM when the public is invited to a free online presentation featuring Union County Commissioner Rebecca l. Williams. She will share her perspective on Social Justice Matter's 2024 Juneteenth theme: "Sankofa - Looking Back on Our Past to Move Forward with a Brighter Future."
At this event, Social Justice Matters will also present the annual Freedom Award, the beautiful Juneteenth quilt made by Scotch Plains-Fanwood elementary school students to this year’s honorees.
