SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — New Year's Eve this year will undoubtedly be celebrated very differently than in years past as many will be staying home due to the coronavirus. "But why should that be a bad thing?" asks Scotch Plains local Amanda Hudes.

Hudes, the owner of an event planning business called "Smiling Through Chaos", has created the Celebrate Family Box which is full of games and activities, snacks and drinks, party hats, a baking mix and more delivered to homes on Dec. 31.

"We can choose to look at the negative, that we can't go to parties or huge gatherings, or we can look at this as an opportunity to spend quality time with our family and focus on the positive we have all around us. Smile, laugh, and celebrate!" said Hudes.

"Smiling Through Chaos is all about helping people celebrate life, so creating The 'Celebrate Family' Box allowed for a convenient and fun way for local families to look for the positive in being home together that night, laughing and smiling, bonding and appreciating," said Hudes.
