1K Still Without Power Across Union County After Storm

A high wind warning remains in effect for Union County until 6 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service reported.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Wind gusts of up to 60 mph slammed the area hard causing downed trees and utility poles, and power outages across Union County Monday. About 1,00 still remains without power as of 7:40 p.m., according to JCP&L and PSE&G.

A high wind warning was in effect for the county until 6 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service reported.

In Fanwood, North Avenue reopened as of 7 p.m. after being closed between Sheelen's Crossing and Hunter Avenue in both directions due to a fallen tree and utility pole.
