FANWOOD, NJ — With the impending snow, it is important to know these Fanwood Borough rules on snow.

The snow storm is expected to hit the area tonight and continue through Thursday bringing between 6 to 10 inches.

Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the roadways to assist the DPW in keeping the roads clear and to ensure the safe passage of emergency vehicles. Any vehicle found not moved 48 hours after the snowfall will be considered abandoned and maybe ticketed. Any vehicle found to be impeding the flow of traffic will be towed.

Residents should also ensure that they do not shovel or snow blow their snow back into the roadway after it has been plowed as this creates a hazardous condition.

Borough Code 259-22 states that residents shall remove all snow and ice from any sidewalk in front of their property within 12 hours of daylight after the snow has fallen or formed.
