Union County Deer Hunt Totals For Fall, Winter Seasons
The Union County fall and winter deer hunts have ended and the harvest totals are in.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — The Union County fall and winter deer hunts have ended and the harvest totals are in.
The fall bow season, which began on Oct. 1 through Dec 31, 2018, had a total of 91 deer killed.
Here is a breakdown from each park:

- 34 - Ashbrook Reservation
- 11 - Lenape Park
- 32 - Watchung Reservation
- 7 - Passaic River Park
- 3 - Hawk Rise Sanctuary (Linden)
- 4 - Oak Ridge Park
The winter season consisted of two components - bow hunting and shotgun component.
Bow hunting was conducted from Jan. 1 through Feb. 16 and had a total of 23 deer killed.

Here is the breakdown:
- 13 -Hillside
- 3 - Summit
- 7 - Nomahegan Park in Cranford
The shotgun component took place on Jan. 7, 14, 23, 28, and Feb. 4 and had a total of 41 deer killed.
- 19 - Watchung Reservation
- 3 - Lenape Park
- 9 - Ash Brook Reservation and Oak Ridge Park
- 10 - Hawk Rise Sanctuary
