Union Resident Wins Olive Garden's Lifetime Pasta Passes

Olive Garden estimates that the $500 lifetime pass will be paid off, on average, by the 45th bowl of pasta.

UNION, NJ – A Union Township resident was among 50 people to win one of Olive Garden’s new Lifetime Pasta Passes, which grants them a lifetime of unlimited pasta, soup, salad and breadsticks.

Along with the Union winner, there were two others from New Jersey including from Little Falls and Jersey City. The winners were picked during the chain’s annual Never Ending Pasta Pass promotion last week, according to Olive Garden spokeswoman Meagan Bernstein.

An additional 526 residents from New Jersey snagged one of the 24,000 Never Ending Pasta Passes available on Thursday, which gives them nine weeks of unlimited Olive Garden fare, she said. The names of winners were not provided.

The promotion was launched five years ago and gives customers unlimited access to pastas, sauces and toppings, along with unlimited salad or soup for two months.

Olive Garden kicked it up a notch this year, by giving the first 50 people to purchase a $100 Never Ending Pasta Pass the option to upgrade to a Lifetime Pasta Pass for $500.

On Thursday, all 24,000 Never Ending Pasta Passes sold out in less than a second, according to the chain. Of those 24,000 customers, 85 percent opted in for the chance to get a lifetime pass.

Olive Garden estimates that the lifetime pass will be paid off, on average, by the 45th bowl of pasta.

For the last three years, the passes have sold out in less than one second, according to the Daily Meal.
